Create a garden
The plants of Yuzawa, which is located in one of the world's heaviest snowfall areas, take a rest on a blanket of snow during the winter. In the spring, the flowers will bloom one after another, starting with sprouts with plenty of power. The trees bear fruit from summer to autumn, and in late autumn, the mountains turn beautifully red, ready for the next winter.
The beautiful mountain nature that has continued for thousands of years is the ultimate garden created by nature. The mountain is Chikka's gardening teacher and infinite textbook! I went to the mountains again today, and I am using what I saw and smelled in my garden.
After working as an employee at a botanical garden, I established Office Chikka in 2011, which designs and constructs landscaping and vegetation design.
I aim to create a garden where both people and plants can live comfortably, making use of my knowledge of nature cultivated as a mountaineering guide and the knowledge of landscape design I learned at university.
The garden attached to Chikka's hut is an activity base that can be said to be the heart of Chikka, which is a research space for plants.
The garden is a comfortable space day by day, and the plants are growing day by day. It is a garden with the theme of an edible garden where you can relax and relax. Listening to the voices of plants and watching children run around, we aim to create a beautiful garden where everyone can spend time comfortably.
The area of the field is also being expanded. Every day I face the soil and the plants. Vegetables and herbs are planted so that they can be harvested throughout the season, and during the summer you can cook and eat the harvested vegetables in the kitchen of the hut.
We also occasionally invite professional chefs and hold gatherings where you can enjoy exquisite dishes made with ingredients that are locally produced for local consumption. Do not miss it~. A food education project for children is also being held.
Nozawa Onsen San Anton Forest Project

Responsible for maintenance of flowerbeds and potted plants around the building.
We aim to create natural plantings where you can feel the vegetation of Nozawa Onsen. Nozawa Onsen Afforestation Plan is underway. We are carrying out a project to preserve Nozawa camellia, a species endemic to Nozawa Onsen, which inhabits the snow country.

We were in charge of the interior decoration of the party venue with the image of the forest.
We created a large tree in the spacious venue with high ceilings, and at the Takasago seats, we created an original flower wall that can hold 240 bouquets according to the number of guests and 240 seasonal flower bouquets. .
Uonuma Village Garden

This is a perennial plant garden in Uonuma no Sato with the theme of nostalgia and peace. You can spend a relaxing time in the spacious garden with the rural landscape and the Echigo Mountains in front of you.
I participated in the project from the launch of Uonuma no Sato in 2012, and was in charge of the design and construction of the garden and the planting design at Chikka. This is a garden that was created from scratch by cultivating a stone-filled land together with everyone in the Nagamori area.. More than 600 kinds of perennial plants and bulbs are planted in the garden, so you can enjoy seasonal plants.
After April 2022, we will not be doing any planting or management work by Chikka.

Tree-planting activity area at the foot of Mt. Nagamoriyama
Nagamoriyama (538m) where Uonuma no Sato is located As one of the activities to protect the satoyama, we are working at Uonuma no Satotree planting activity. In the fall of 2012, we conducted a vegetation survey on Mt. Nagamori with botanist Akira Miyawaki. The final planting will be in June 2021.

private residence veranda design
PERSONAL GARDEN 2015 Koto Ward, Tokyo

Responsible for design, construction and planting design. We designed it based on the desire to create a relaxing time on the veranda. Because it is on the upper floors of a high-rise condominium, consideration is given to prevent falling leaves and flower pots from falling due to the wind.
